2D soliton–antisoliton annihilation

This browser version uses a reduced 128×128 grid and a local finite-difference Laplacian. The left panel shows the U(1) charge density; the right panel shows the real mediator field φ. The initial parameters are based on the Julia simulation: mψ=10.3, mφ=4.33, g=24.3, σ=0.6.

Interpretation

Opposite charge densities should approach, overlap and potentially annihilate. If the process is captured qualitatively, the charge signal should fade while outgoing ripples remain in φ. This is a deliberately lightweight browser approximation, not a quantitative replacement for the 512² Julia FFT simulation.
